Mary & David

We would love to speak with you!

Dear Birth Mother

We’re Mary, David, & Our Daughter, Margaret

Thank you for taking the time to get to know about us. We are a happily married couple who have been together several years. We have a great little community of friends in our town and a large, loving family. We are a busy family and like to keep active in our free time. We are involved in sporting activities, both participating and watching and enjoy going to museums and shows, etc. That doesn’t mean we don’t love the occasional rainy, lazy Sunday—we definitely do. We are also very active in our Church and have met many wonderful people through our faith-based activities. No matter what we are doing, we enjoy doing it together and always have fun. That’s what life is about, right? We feel incredibly fortunate to have found each other and we look forward to getting to know you also.

This must be a challenging and emotional time for you. We admire your strength and courage and wish you peace and grace with whatever decision you make.

We hope to grow our family through adoption.

Adoption is already part of our lives as beloved friends and cousins have created beautiful families through adoption.

Our Story

by Mary

We have been married for several years and feel we are truly blessed to have found each other.

We first met through work when David saw my picture on the company website. We both went to high schools near one another, but never met. When we finally did go out, we had fun talking, laughing and discovering all the things we have in common. We both believe it was “love” and “best friends” at first sight.

After several years of attempts and heartbreaking disappointments, we were blessed with our beautiful daughter Margaret. She will be a wonderful big sister and can’t wait for us to adopt

We both come from loving Catholic families and are active in our church. Our child will grow up surrounded by adoring grandparents and lots of cousins, whether at our family beach house on the East End of Long Island or enjoying museums and theater in New York City.

Music is always on in our house. We love all types of music and it’s rare to come home and there’s nothing playing. It’s not uncommon to hear one of us belting out a song in the kitchen, and you’d be amazed at how many utensils can serve as microphones. We listen to everything from the Zac Brown band to Jay-Z. Not only do we love listening to music, Mary played piano growing up and two new instruments recently entered the house. We are both dabbling with our new guitar and David now has a trumpet and is teaching himself to play.

We wait for the chance to raise another child as we were raised in a home focused on

love, learning, loyalty, laughter, and faith.

St. Patrick’s Day

Our Favorite Holiday Traditions

  • BIRTHDAYS are not just one-day celebrations in our home. We celebrate for the entire week and sometimes even longer. We love singing Happy Birthday, blowing out candles and making wishes whenever possible. It’s a whole family affair.
  • HOLIDAYS are special family gatherings with laughter, love and lots of photos.
  • VALENTINE’S DAY is made up of a nice night at home exchanging small tokens of our love and handmade cards.
  • ST. PATRICK’S DAY we all sport our green and our “Irish eyes are smiling.” We march in the parade and then go back to grandma and grandpa’s house for the traditional meal and lots of Irish music.
  • On EASTER we enjoy egg hunts, with the prize going to the one who finds the golden egg.
  • FOURTH OF JULY we like to spend at the beach, barbecuing or visiting the Macy’s fireworks display in Manhattan.
  • THANKSGIVING starts with a family turkey trot followed by a happy day with lots of food and gratitude.
  • CHRISTMAS begins a month early with the family chopping down a tree, hoping it will fit into the living room.
  • A trip on the “POLAR EXPRESS” is always a favorite!
  • On CHRISTMAS DAY we host all aunts, uncles and cousins at our house. We will have the fire going, music playing and tons of laughter and gifts exchanged.
