About David
AS TOLD BY MARY
Quite simply, David is my best friend. He is the greatest person I have ever met and he makes me want to be a better person. David is kind, honest, generous, dependable and compassionate. David has a great sense of humor and an even better smile. We enjoy cracking each other up. I consider it a victory if I can make him laugh so hard that his nostrils flare.
David is completely engaged in our relationship, devoted to our daughter, and committed to helping her grow into a strong, confident woman. David is an amazing dad! I fill with emotion when I think of how David cradled our daughter with tears in his eyes when she was a newborn. Now he will sit patiently and play a game with our little one and I think he has even more fun than she does! That is one of the many things that made me fall in love with him. I watch him with our nieces and nephews and the children in our life and I am amazed by how much they respond to him, belly laughing when he is goofy and playing silly games with them. A child will be incredibly lucky to call him “Daddy.”

While David loves all sports, his real passion is tennis. Growing up, he played competitive tennis, training several times a week. He played tournament level and on school teams through high school and recreationally during college. His favorite job of all time was during high school when he got to work at the US Open Tennis Championships, where the international stars of professional tennis compete. His love for the game is obvious when you speak to him and we make a pilgrimage to the Open each year. He is very excited to get our daughter playing and wants every member of the family on the court.
David and I value education and hard work. After many years of school, David has risen to a leadership position in Healthcare administration. He is extremely dedicated to his job, but always puts me and our family first.
“What is fatherhood to me? For me, being a dad is really why I believe I was put on this earth, but never realized it until it actually happened to me. The way our daughter looks at me is the most heartwarming experience and having this blessing and opportunity to help mold a strong, confident, kind and loving child is wonderful. To put it simply, being a father is the best gift I have ever been given. It’s truly a gift—and one that I would love to share with another child.“
